Teacher Sloth's Self-Praise Trophy

★ Parts Preparation

Below are the parts required for this model. Feel free to swap them out with your preferred colors!

★ Assembly Steps

※ If there are any parts that cannot be connected or are not stable, you can use short pegs to secure them.

Base

1. First, we'll use 22 brown cubes and 4 yellow triangle cubes to form an octagon.

2. Create a square using 9 brown cubes, and then connect it to the octagon from Step 1 with short pegs.

Main Body

1. Use 5 yellow cubes and 4 yellow triangles to assemble a small octagon.

2. Add 6 yellow triangles on each side to create a pair of ridge-like wings as the first layer.

3. Assemble a 3x3 square and add 4 yellow triangles on each side to create the second layer.

4. Combine Step 2 with Step 3 as shown.

The in-between cubes are rotatable which adding the degree of dimensionality.

5. Combine the part from Step 4 with 5 yellow cubes and 4 yellow triangles to complete the body of the trophy.

Decoration

1. Create small signboards using 6 pieces of B-3 HOLE CUBE and affix your homemade paper cards!

* Paper card size is approximately 6x4 cm.

2. You can freely add some O-shaped tiles (C-SMALL BODY PIECE), diamond-shaped crystals (B-CRYSTAL PIECE) , and numerical symbols to make the trophy look more splendid!

★ Scientific Principle

The scientific principle utilized in this model is the "foundation and substructure" of architectural engineering.

Generally, a building can be divided into three parts: superstructure, substructure, and foundation. But what exactly is the substructure? Simply put, it's the "lower part of the structure" buried beneath the ground, akin to the "feet" of the entire building. Beneath the foundation slab, the layers of earth that bear the weight of the building are referred to as the foundation.

In this model, we have constructed two tiers of bases. The large octagon serves as the foundation, while the smaller square frame acts as the substructure. Through the combination of both, the trophy becomes more stable.

Let's try and see: if we were to remove these two bases, would the trophy remain as sturdy?

★Postscript

In life, there are always many big and small things worth celebrating, whether it's a birthday, winning a prize, improving grades, or achieving goals. Having a small trophy of your own can not only record this moment but also allow you to recall the joy later on and preserve this beautiful time.

The creative treasure trove also has more novel ideas, so let's look forward to the next unboxing article.
